Accessibility

Report Securely is committed to making our website and platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What we do today

Our website is built with accessibility as a design consideration from the start. Current measures include:

  • Semantic HTML throughout — headings, landmarks, lists, and links are used according to their purpose
  • Skip-to-content link on every page for keyboard users
  • Language attribute set on every page, including correct BCP 47 tags for each locale
  • Responsive design that works across screen sizes and orientations
  • Meaningful alt text on informative images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
  • ARIA attributes on interactive elements such as navigation menus and expandable sections
  • No auto-playing media, flashing content, or time-limited interactions
  • 28 European language support — users can access content in their preferred language

Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility can be improved, and we are working to address them:

  • Some interactive components may not yet have full keyboard navigation support
  • Colour contrast on certain decorative elements may not meet WCAG AA thresholds in all cases
  • PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully accessible

We are actively reviewing and improving these areas. If you encounter a specific barrier, please let us know.

Standards we follow

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Our website is built as a static site with minimal JavaScript, which inherently supports assistive technologies well — content is available in the HTML without requiring client-side rendering.

We use the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) as additional guidance for our accessibility work.

The Report Securely platform

This statement covers our marketing website. The Report Securely application — where organisations manage whistleblowing reports — is a separate product with its own accessibility considerations.

We are working to ensure the reporting interface is accessible to all potential reporters, as inclusive access to whistleblowing channels is fundamental to their purpose.
